We'll be honest: we see reviews come in one at a time, usually while we're doing six other things, and we don't often step back and read them together. This week we did - all 735 of our five-star reviews collected through July 2026.
A few things showed up so often we couldn't ignore them.
By the numbers, out of 735 five-star reviews:
293 (about 40%) specifically mention comfort or comfy fit
144 (about 20%) specifically use the word "soft" to describe the fabric
109 (about 15%) explicitly say they'd recommend do+dare to someone else

64 (about 9%) mention a specific customer service interaction - an exchange, a reached-out email, a resolved sizing issue

Here's a deeper dive:
People notice when they stop noticing their underwear.
That sounds like a strange compliment, but it's the single most repeated sentence in the whole file, worded a dozen different ways.
"The best review I can give these boxers is that I didn't notice I was wearing them," Dave M. from Ottawa wrote.
"You don't even know that you have them on," said Dennis W. in Hamilton.
Barbara J. in Winnipeg told us the high waist meant "no embarrassing exposure" when her jeans rode down. That's not a flashy thing to build a brand around, but it's the thing that actually matters once someone's worn a pair for a full day.
A lot of people arrive already a little skeptical, from having been let down before.
Jodie W. in Vernon had been hunting for a replacement since "the quality of MeUndies dropped significantly."
Carey B. in Delta had worn one competitor's brand for three years and only switched to support a Canadian company - then discovered ours actually fit better once she sized up.
Wanda in Oakville said goodbye to her Victoria's Secret drawer entirely.
We don't say this to knock anyone else's underwear. We say it because it tells us people aren't casually undecided when they find us - they've usually already tried a few things that didn't work.
Some of the stories are bigger than "comfortable."
Victoria S. wrote in about searching for underwear that actually worked for tucking as a trans woman, calling it "the best decision I've ever made" after a long, expensive search elsewhere.
Isaac G. in Saskatoon, self-described as "a sweaty hairy guy," told us the moisture-wicking was "the best thing to keep away from swamp crotch" - his words, not our marketing copy, and we're keeping them exactly as he wrote them.
And a good amount of people specifically call out getting a real reply from a real person.
Tricia in Vancouver had a sizing issue, Rob reached out personally, and she ended up ordering pairs for her partner too.
Kelly in Kirkland Lake wasn't happy with the fit, Rob sent her a different style to try, and she came back to say "the boxers are great!!"
Jenna in Abbotsford ordered the wrong size by mistake, and Sarah caught it and reached out before it even shipped.
We don't have a script for this. It's just us.
None of this is a new discovery, exactly - it's more like getting the confirmation, in customers' own words, of the stuff we've believed since day one: we wanted to make underwear you forget you're wearing, backed by people who actually pick up when something's wrong.
We're not going to pretend every review is a five-star love letter - plenty are short, plenty just say "comfy, would buy again," and that's fine too. But reading them together, all at once, was a better reminder of why we do this than we expected it to be.
